Africa- our Past & our Future

Introduction

The African Heritage & Tourism initiative was born out of our passion to conscientise our people about our collective heritage and history as “African” people.

Background

We noticed that schools in Soweto do not have a culture of using diaries for the children and that in our observation creates a communication barrier between Teacher, Pupil and Parents. A diary was conceptualised.
In light of the educational potential of these diaries, the concept was expanded to include African Heritage & Tourism information.

Africa Heritage & tourism Awareness Initiative

Programme Aims

To inculcate the culture of using diaries in our schools in order to foster an environment of consistent communication between teacher, pupils and parents.
To build a pan-African consciousness amongst children of different African nationalities living in Soweto, South Africa and the continent.
To educate children and adults about the different African cultures that exist within our continent.
To promote inter-African Heritage Tourism between all African countries.
